Qatar Exoplanet Survey: Qatar-8b, 9b and 10b --- A Hot Saturn and Two Hot Jupiters
Khalid Alsubai, Zlatan I. Tsvetanov, Stylianos Pyrzas +27
In this paper we present three new extrasolar planets from the Qatar Exoplanet Survey (QES). Qatar-8b is a hot Saturn, with Mpl = 0.37 Mjup and Rpl = 1.3 Rjup, orbiting a solar-lik…
Qatar Exoplanet Survey: Qatar-7b -- A Very Hot Jupiter Orbiting a Metal Rich F-Star
Khalid Alsubai, Zlatan Tsvetanov, David W. Latham +18
We present the discovery of Qatar-7b --- a very hot and inflated giant gas planet orbiting close its parent star. The host star is a relatively massive main sequence F-star with ma…
The DOHA algorithm: a new recipe for cotrending large-scale transiting exoplanet survey light curves
D. Mislis, S. Pyrzas, K. A. Alsubai +2
We present DOHA, a new algorithm for cotrending photometric light curves obtained by transiting exoplanet surveys. The algorithm employs a novel approach to the traditional "differ…
Qatar Exoplanet Survey : Qatar-3b, Qatar-4b and Qatar-5b
Khalid A. Alsubai, Dimitris Mislis, Zlatan I. Tsvetanov +12
We report the discovery of Qatar-3b, Qatar-4b, and Qatar-5b, three new transiting planets identified by the Qatar Exoplanet Survey (QES). The three planets belong to the hot Jupite…
