A giant exoplanet orbiting a very low-mass star challenges planet formation models
J. C. Morales, A. J. Mustill, I. Ribas +179
Statistical analyses from exoplanet surveys around low-mass stars indicate that super-Earth and Neptune-mass planets are more frequent than gas giants around such stars, in agreeme…
He I 10830 Å in the transmission spectrum of HD 209458 b
F. J. Alonso-Floriano, I. A. G. Snellen, S. Czesla +27
Context: Recently, the He I triplet at 10830 Å has been rediscovered as an excellent probe of the extended and possibly evaporating atmospheres of close-in transiting planets. This…
The CARMENES search for exoplanets around M dwarfs. Two temperate Earth-mass planet candidates around Teegarden's Star
M. Zechmeister, S. Dreizler, I. Ribas +182
Context. Teegarden's Star is the brightest and one of the nearest ultra-cool dwarfs in the solar neighbourhood. For its late spectral type (M7.0V), the star shows relatively little…
The CARMENES search for exoplanets around M dwarfs - HD 147379b: A nearby Neptune in the temperate zone of an early-M dwarf
A. Reiners, I. Ribas, M. Zechmeister +169
We report on the first star discovered to host a planet detected by radial velocity (RV) observations obtained within the CARMENES survey for exoplanets around M dwarfs. HD 147379…
