CUTE reveals escaping metals in the upper atmosphere of the ultra-hot Jupiter WASP-189b
A. G. Sreejith, Kevin France, Luca Fossati +12
Ultraviolet observations of Ultra-hot Jupiters (UHJs), exoplanets with temperatures over 2000\,K, provide us with an opportunity to investigate if and how atmospheric escape shapes…
The Radiation Environments of Middle-Aged F-Type Stars
F. Cruz Aguirre, K. France, N. Nell +5
Far ultraviolet (FUV) emission lines from dwarf stars are important driving sources of photochemistry in planetary atmospheres. Properly interpreting spectral features of planetary…
The Colorado Ultraviolet Transit Experiment (CUTE) Mission Overview
Kevin France, Brian Fleming, Arika Egan +18
Atmospheric escape is a fundamental process that affects the structure, composition, and evolution of many planets. The signatures of escape are detectable on close-in, gaseous exo…
The on-orbit performance of the Colorado Ultraviolet Transit Experiment (CUTE) Mission
Arika Egan, Nicholas Nell, Ambily Suresh +5
We present the on-orbit performance of the Colorado Ultraviolet Transit Experiment (). is a 6U CubeSat that launched on September 27th, 2021 and is obtaining near-ultr…
