The SAMI Galaxy Survey: Observing the environmental quenching of star formation in GAMA groups
A. L. Schaefer, S. M. Croom, N. Scott +25
We explore the radial distribution of star formation in galaxies in the SAMI Galaxy Survey as a function of their local group environment. Using a sample of galaxies in groups (wit…
The SAMI Galaxy Survey: Stellar and gas misalignments and the origin of gas in nearby galaxies
J. J. Bryant, S. M. Croom, J. van de Sande +16
Misalignment of gas and stellar rotation in galaxies can give clues to the origin and processing of accreted gas. Integral field spectroscopic observations of 1213 galaxies from th…
The SAMI Galaxy Survey: gas content and interaction as the drivers of kinematic asymmetry
J. V. Bloom, S. M. Croom, J. J. Bryant +21
In order to determine the causes of kinematic asymmetry in the H gas in the SAMI Galaxy Survey sample, we investigate the comparative influences of environment and intrinsic pro…
The SAMI Galaxy Survey: Spatially Resolving the Main Sequence of Star Formation
Anne M. Medling, Luca Cortese, Scott M. Croom +42
We present the ~800 star formation rate maps for the SAMI Galaxy Survey based on Hα emission maps, corrected for dust attenuation via the Balmer decrement, that are included in the…
