PICSAR-QED: a Monte Carlo module to simulate Strong-Field Quantum Electrodynamics in Particle-In-Cell codes for exascale architectures
Luca Fedeli, Neïl Zaïm, Antonin Sainte-Marie +5
Physical scenarios where the electromagnetic fields are so strong that Quantum ElectroDynamics (QED) plays a substantial role are one of the frontiers of contemporary plasma physic…
Sub-laser-cycle control of relativistic plasma mirrors
Ludovic Chopineau, Guillaume Blaclard, Adrien Denoeud +2
We present measurements of high-order harmonics and relativistic electrons emitted into the vacuum from a plasma mirror driven by temporally-shaped ultra-intense laser waveforms, p…
A Hybrid Nodal-Staggered Pseudo-Spectral Electromagnetic Particle-In-Cell Method with Finite-Order Centering
Edoardo Zoni, Remi Lehe, Olga Shapoval +5
Electromagnetic particle-in-cell (PIC) codes are widely used to perform computer simulations of a variety of physical systems, including fusion plasmas, astrophysical plasmas, plas…
Porting WarpX to GPU-accelerated platforms
A. Myers, A. Almgren, L. D. Amorim +20
WarpX is a general purpose electromagnetic particle-in-cell code that was originally designed to run on many-core CPU architectures. We describe the strategy followed to allow Warp…
