X-ray Flux Related Timing and Spectral Features of 2S 1417-62
S. C. Inam, A. Baykal, D. M. Scott +2
RXTE observations of the X-ray transient pulsar 2S 1417-62 between 1999 November and 2000 August with a total exposure of ksec were analyzed. Observations include a main…
High Resolution Optics & Detector Systems for Hard X-rays
D. P. Sharma, B. D. Ramsey, J. A. Gaskin +4
We describe development of hard x-ray focusing optics telescopes at the National Space Science and Technology Center (NSSTC).
The Peculiar X-ray Transient IGR 16358-4726
S. K. Patel, C. Kouveliotou, A. Tennant +9
The new transient IGR 16358-4726 was discovered on 2003 March 19 with INTEGRAL. We detected the source serendipitously during our 2003 March 24 observation of SGR 1627-41 with the…
The 2001 April Burst Activation of SGR 1900+14: Pulse Properties and Torque
P. M. Woods, C. Kouveliotou, E. Gogus +10
We report on observations of SGR 1900+14 made with the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer (RXTE) and BeppoSAX during the April 2001 burst activation of the source. Using these data, we me…
Characterization of the Crab Pulsar's Timing Noise
D. Matthew Scott, Mark H. Finger, Colleen A. Wilson
We present a power spectral analysis of the Crab pulsar's timing noise, mainly using radio measurements from Jodrell Bank taken over the period 1982-1989. The power spectral analys…
