Relativistic mean field interaction with density dependent meson-nucleon vertices based on microscopical calculations
X. Roca-Maza, X. Viñas, M. Centelles +2
Although ab-initio calculations of relativistic Brueckner theory lead to large scalar isovector fields in nuclear matter, at present, successful versions of covariant density funct…
Influence of the nuclear symmetry energy on the structure and composition of the outer crust
X. Roca-Maza, J. Piekarewicz, T. Garcia-Galvez +1
We review and extend with nonrelativistic nuclear mean field calculations a previous study of the impact of the nuclear symmetry energy on the structure and composition of the oute…
Study of the neutron skin thickness of Pb in mean field models
X. Roca-Maza, M. Centelles, X. Viñas +1
We study whether the neutron skin thickness of Pb originates from the bulk or from the surface of the neutron and proton density distributions in mean field mod…
Neutron skin of 208Pb, nuclear symmetry energy, and the parity radius experiment
X. Roca-Maza, M. Centelles, X. Viñas +1
A precise determination of the neutron skin thickness of a heavy nucleus sets a basic constraint on the nuclear symmetry energy (the neutron skin thickness is the difference of the…
