Detection of the Sgr A* activity at 3.8 and 4.8 microns with NACO
Y. Clénet, D. Rouan, D. Gratadour +6
L'-band (lambda=3.8 microns) and M'-band (lambda=4.8 microns) observations of the Galactic Center region, performed in 2003 at VLT (ESO) with the adaptive optics imager NACO, have…
Census of the Galactic Centre early-type stars using spectro-imagery
T. Paumard, R. Genzel, J. P. Maillard +4
The few central parsecs of the Galaxy are known to contain a surprising population of early-type stars, including at least 30 Wolf-Rayet stars and luminous blue variables (LBV), id…
Dust Embedded Sources at the Galactic Center. 2 to 4m imaging and spectroscopy in the central parsec
J. Moultaka, A. Eckart, T. Viehmann +4
We present the first L-band spectroscopic observations for a dozen stellar sources in the central 0.5 pc of the GC stellar cluster that are bright in the 2-4 micron wavelength doma…
First Simultaneous NIR/X-ray Detection of a Flare from SgrA*
A. Eckart, F. K. Baganoff, M. Morris +9
We report on the first simultaneous near-infrared/X-ray detection of the Sgr A* counterpart which is associated with the massive black hole at the center of the Milky Way. The obse…
