The nature of the "Composite" Seyfert/Star-forming Galaxies
F. Panessa, M. Cappi, L. Bassani +6
We present the results obtained with BeppoSAX observations of the three Composite Seyfert/star-forming galaxies: IRAS 20051-1117, IRAS 04392-0123 and IRAS 01072+4954. These sources…
Massive z ~ 1.3 evolved galaxies revealed
P. Saracco, M. Longhetti, P. Severgnini +8
We present the results of TNG near-IR low resolution spectroscopy of two (S7F5-254 and S7F5-45) sources belonging to a complete sample of 15 EROs with K'<18 and R-K'>5 selected fro…
XMM-Newton observations of ULIRGs I: A Compton-thick AGN in IRAS19254-7245
V. Braito, A. Franceschini, R. Della Ceca +8
We present the XMM-Newton observation of the merging system IRAS 19254-7245, also known as The Superantennae, whose southern nucleus is classified as a Seyfert 2 galaxy. The XMM-Ne…
The XMM-Newton Bright Serendipitous Source Sample
R. Della Ceca
We summarize here the current status of the XMM BSS: a large (about 1000 sources) sample of bright serendipitous XMM sources at high galactic latitude (|b| > 20 deg).
The XMM-Newton Bright Serendipitous Source Sample (XMM-Newton BSS)
R. Della Ceca, T. Maccacaro, A. Caccianiga +15
The XMM-Newton Survey Science Center is constructing a large (~1000 sources) and complete sample of bright serendipitous XMM-Newton sources at high galactic latitude, so as to allo…
