In-Orbit Instrument Performance Study and Calibration for POLAR Polarization Measurements
Zhengheng Li, Merlin Kole, Jianchao Sun +30
POLAR is a compact space-borne detector designed to perform reliable measurements of the polarization for transient sources like Gamma-Ray Bursts in the energy range 50-500keV. The…
Gain factor and parameter settings optimization of the new gamma-ray burst polarimeter POLAR
X. F. Zhang, W. Hajdas, H. L. Xiao +38
As a space-borne detector POLAR is designed to conduct hard X-ray polarization measurements of gamma-ray bursts on the statistically significant sample of events and with an unprec…
Calibration of Gamma-ray Burst Polarimeter POLAR
H. L. Xiao, W. Hajdas, T. W. Bao +33
Gamma Ray Bursts (GRBs) are the strongest explosions in the universe which might be associated with creation of black holes. Magnetic field structure and burst dynamics may influen…
The High Energy cosmic-Radiation Detection (HERD) Facility onboard China's Future Space Station
S. N. Zhang, the HERD collaboration
The High Energy cosmic-Radiation Detection (HERD) facility is one of several space astronomy payloads of the cosmic lighthouse program onboard China's Space Station, which is plann…
