New-type Quasirandom Groups and Applications
Thang Pham, Boqing Xue
This paper aims to introduce a more general definition of quasirandom groups and generalize several well-known results in the literature in this new setting. More precisely, let $G…
Parallelograms and the VC-dimension of the distance sets
Thang Pham
In this paper, we study the distribution of parallelograms and rhombi in a given set in the plane over arbitrary finite fields . As an application, we improve a rec…
Triangles with one fixed side-length, a Furstenberg type problem, and incidences in finite vector spaces
Thang Pham
The first goal of this paper is to prove a sharp condition to guarantee of having a positive proportion of all congruence classes of triangles in given sets in . Mo…
VC-dimension and pseudo-random graphs
Thang Pham, Steven Senger, Michael Tait +1
Let be a graph and be a set of vertices. For each , let be the function defined by \[h_v(u)=\begin{cases} &1 ~\mbox{if}~u\sim…
An improved point-line incidence bound over arbitrary finite fields via the VC-dimension theory
Alex Iosevich, Thang Pham, Steven Senger +1
The main purpose of this paper is to prove that the point-line incidence bound due to Vinh (2011) over arbitrary finite fields can be improved in certain ranges by using tools from…
