The Low-Frequency Character of the Thermal Correction to the Casimir Force between Metallic Films
J. R. Torgerson, S. K. Lamoreaux
The frequency spectrum of the finite temperature correction to the Casimir force can be determined by the use of the Lifshitz formalism for metallic plates of finite conductivity.…
New, efficient and robust, fiber-based quantum key distribution schemes
William T. Buttler, Justin R. Torgerson, Steven K. Lamoreaux
We present a new fiber based quantum key distribution (QKD) scheme which can be regarded as a modification of an idea proposed by Inoue, Waks and Yamamoto (IWY) [1]. The scheme des…
Fast, efficient error reconciliation for quantum cryptography
W. T. Buttler, S. K. Lamoreaux, J. R. Torgerson +3
We describe a new error reconciliation protocol {\it Winnow} based on the exchange of parity and Hamming's ``syndrome'' for bit subunits of a large data set. {\it Winnow} was d…
Calculation of the ultracold neutron upscattering loss probability in fluid walled storage bottles using experimental measurements of the thermomechanical properties of Fomblin
S. K. Lamoreaux, R. Golub
We present experimental measurements of the properties of a liquid "Fomblin" surface obtained by the quasielastic scattering of laser light. The properties include the surface tens…
