Universal BPS Structure of Scalar Kinks in Static Geometries
G. Luchini, G. B. Sant'Anna, U. Camara da Silva
We present a geometric extension of the Bogomolny-Prasad-Sommerfield (BPS) construction for scalar kinks in (1+1) dimensions embedded in static curved spacetimes. By introducing a…
On the thermodynamics of scale factor dual Universes
G. M. Sotkov, A. L. Alves Lima, U. Camara da Silva
The thermodynamical aspects of the conformal time scale factor duality (SFD) of cosmological models within Einstein Gravity are investigated. We derive the SFD transformations of t…
Scale Factor Duality for Conformal Cyclic Cosmologies
U. Camara dS, A. L. Alves Lima, G. M. Sotkov
The scale factor duality is a symmetry of dilaton gravity which is known to lead to pre-big-bang cosmologies. A conformal time version of the scale factor duality (SFD) was recentl…
New Massive Gravity Domain Walls
U. Camara dS, G. M. Sotkov
The properties of the asymptotic space-times representing flat domain walls (DW's) solutions of the New Massive 3D Gravity with scalar matter are studied. Our analysis is b…
Massive 3D Gravity Big-Bounce
H. L. C. Louzada, U. Camara dS, G. M. Sotkov
The properties of an extension of the New Massive 3D Gravity by scalar matter with Higgs-like self-interaction are investigated. Its perturbative unitarity consistency is verified…
