A resolution of the transition to turbulence paradox
Rouslan Krechetnikov, Jerrold E. Marsden
Understanding the transition to turbulence has been impeded by a modeling oversight
On the stability analysis in the transition to turbulence problem
R. Krechetnikov, J. E. Marsden
In this note, which is of general stability theory interest, we discuss some of the key assertions usually stated in the context of the transition to turbulence problem. In particu…
A mechanistic model of separation bubble
R. Krechetnikov, J. E. Marsden, H. M. Nagib
This work uncovers the low-dimensional nature the complex dynamics of actuated separated flows. Namely, motivated by the problem of model-based predictive control of separated flow…
A Dynamic alpha Model for the Lagrangian Averaged Navier-Stokes-alpha Equations
Hongwu Zhao, Kamran Mohseni, Jerrold E. Marsden
This paper has been withdrawn by the authors for adding some results.
Lagrangian Averaging for Compressible Fluids
H. S. Bhat, R. C. Fetecau, J. E. Marsden +2
This paper extends the derivation of the Lagrangian averaged Euler (LAE-) equations to the case of barotropic compressible flows. The aim of Lagrangian averaging is to regulariz…
