6G Resilience -- White Paper
Hirley Alves, Nurul H. Mahmood, Onel L. A. López +36
6G must be designed to withstand, adapt to, and evolve amid prolonged, complex disruptions. Mobile networks' shift from efficiency-first to sustainability-aware has motivated this…
A Low-Complexity Beamforming Design for Multiuser Wireless Energy Transfer
Onel L. A. López, Francisco A. Monteiro, Hirley Alves +2
Wireless energy transfer (WET) is a green enabler of low-power Internet of Things (IoT). Therein, traditional optimization schemes relying on full channel state information (CSI) a…
Joint Power Control and Rate Allocation enabling Ultra-Reliability and Energy Efficiency in SIMO Wireless Networks
Onel L. Alcaraz López, Hirley Alves, Matti Latva-aho
Coming cellular systems are envisioned to open up to new services with stringent reliability and energy efficiency requirements. In this paper we focus on the joint power control a…
Ultra-Reliable Short-Packet Communications with Wireless Energy Transfer
Onel L. Alcaraz López, Hirley Alves, Richard Demo Souza +1
We analyze and optimize a wireless system with energy transfer in the downlink and information transfer in the uplink, under quasi-static Nakagami-m fading. We consider ultra-relia…
