Combined spectroscopy and intensity interferometry to determine the distances of the blue supergiants P Cygni and Rigel
E. S. G. de Almeida, Mathilde Hugbart, Armando Domiciano de Souza +10
In this paper we report on spatial intensity interferometry measurements within the H line on two stars: the Luminous Blue Variable supergiant \PCygni\,and the late-type B super…
OWL-MOON : Very high resolution spectro-imaging and Earth-Moon interferometry: exoplanets to cosmology
J. Schneider, J. Silk, F. Vakili +5
We address three major questions in astronomy, namely the detection of biosignatures on habitable exoplanets, the geophysics of exoplanets and cosmology. To achieve this goal, two…
High-contrast imaging at small separation: impact of the optical configuration of two deformable mirrors on dark holes
M. Beaulieu, L. Abe, P. Martinez +3
The direct detection and characterization of exoplanets will be a major scientific driver over the next decade, involving the development of very large telescopes and requires high…
VLT/SPHERE deep insight of NGC 3603's core: Segregation or confusion?
Z. Khorrami, T. Lanz, F. Vakili +19
We present new near-infrared photometric measurements of the core of the young massive cluster NGC 3603 obtained with extreme adaptive optics. The data were obtained with the SPHER…
