Nanobeacon: A time calibration device for the KM3NeT neutrino telescope
S. Aiello, A. Albert, M. Alshamsi +238
The KM3NeT Collaboration is currently constructing a multi-site high-energy neutrino telescope in the Mediterranean Sea consisting of matrices of pressure-resistant glass spheres,…
Deep-sea deployment of the KM3NeT neutrino telescope detection units by self-unrolling
The KM3NeT Collaboration, S. Aiello, A. Albert +252
KM3NeT is a research infrastructure being installed in the deep Mediterranean Sea. It will house a neutrino telescope comprising hundreds of networked moorings - detection units or…
Long-term monitoring of the ANTARES optical module efficiencies using decays in sea water
ANTARES collaboration, A. Albert, M. André +124
Cherenkov light induced by radioactive decay products is one of the major sources of background light for deep-sea neutrino telescopes such as ANTARES. These decays are at the same…
Letter of Intent for KM3NeT 2.0
S. Adrián-Martínez, M. Ageron, F. Aharonian +244
The main objectives of the KM3NeT Collaboration are i) the discovery and subsequent observation of high-energy neutrino sources in the Universe and ii) the determination of the mas…
The prototype detection unit of the KM3NeT detector
KM3NeT Collaboration, S. Adrián-Martínez, M. Ageron +246
A prototype detection unit of the KM3NeT deep-sea neutrino telescope has been installed at 3500m depth 80km offshore the Italian coast. KM3NeT in its final configuration will conta…
Deep sea tests of a prototype of the KM3NeT digital optical module
S. Adrián-Martínez, M. Ageron, F. Aharonian +247
The first prototype of a photo-detection unit of the future KM3NeT neutrino telescope has been deployed in the deep waters of the Mediterranean Sea. This digital optical module has…
