Mean-Payoff Optimization in Continuous-Time Markov Chains with Parametric Alarms
Christel Baier, Clemens Dubslaff, Ľuboš Korenčiak +2
Continuous-time Markov chains with alarms (ACTMCs) allow for alarm events that can be non-exponentially distributed. Within parametric ACTMCs, the parameters of alarm-event distrib…
Efficient Timeout Synthesis in Fixed-Delay CTMC Using Policy Iteration
Ľuboš Korenčiak, Antonín Kučera, Vojtěch Řehák
We consider the fixed-delay synthesis problem for continuous-time Markov chains extended with fixed-delay transitions (fdCTMC). The goal is to synthesize concrete values of the fix…
Optimizing Performance of Continuous-Time Stochastic Systems using Timeout Synthesis
Tomáš Brázdil, Ľuboš Korenčiak, Jan Krčál +2
We consider parametric version of fixed-delay continuous-time Markov chains (or equivalently deterministic and stochastic Petri nets, DSPN) where fixed-delay transitions are specif…
Dealing with Zero Density Using Piecewise Phase-type Approximation
Ľuboš Korenčiak, Jan Krčál, Vojtěch Řehák
Every probability distribution can be approximated up to a given precision by a phase-type distribution, i.e. a distribution encoded by a continuous time Markov chain (CTMC). Howev…
