Benchmarking Quantum Hardware for Training of Fully Visible Boltzmann Machines
Dmytro Korenkevych, Yanbo Xue, Zhengbing Bian +4
Quantum annealing (QA) is a hardware-based heuristic optimization and sampling method applicable to discrete undirected graphical models. While similar to simulated annealing, QA r…
Mapping constrained optimization problems to quantum annealing with application to fault diagnosis
Zhengbing Bian, Fabian Chudak, Robert Israel +3
Current quantum annealing (QA) hardware suffers from practical limitations such as finite temperature, sparse connectivity, small qubit numbers, and control error. We propose new a…
Experimental determination of Ramsey numbers
Zhengbing Bian, Fabian Chudak, William G. Macready +2
Ramsey theory is a highly active research area in mathematics that studies the emergence of order in large disordered structures. Ramsey numbers mark the threshold at which order f…
Investigating the Performance of an Adiabatic Quantum Optimization Processor
Kamran Karimi, Neil G. Dickson, Firas Hamze +6
Adiabatic quantum optimization offers a new method for solving hard optimization problems. In this paper we calculate median adiabatic times (in seconds) determined by the minimum…
