Investigating a population of infrared-bright gamma-ray burst host galaxies
Ashley Chrimes, Elizabeth Stanway, Andrew Levan +3
We identify and explore the properties of an infrared-bright gamma-ray burst (GRB) host population. Candidate hosts are selected by coincidence with sources in WISE, with matching…
Binary Population and Spectral Synthesis Version 2.1: construction, observational verification and new results
J. J. Eldridge, E. R. Stanway, L. Xiao +6
The Binary Population and Spectral Synthesis (BPASS) suite of binary stellar evolution models and synthetic stellar populations provides a framework for the physically motivated an…
Radio observations confirm young stellar populations in local analogues to Lyman break galaxies
Stephanie M. L. Greis, Elizabeth R. Stanway, Andrew J. Levan +2
We present radio observations at 1.5 GHz of 32 local objects selected to reproduce the physical properties of star-forming galaxies. We also report non-detections of five…
Physical Properties of Local Star-Forming Analogues to z~5 Lyman Break Galaxies
Stephanie M. L. Greis, Elizabeth R. Stanway, Luke J. M. Davies +1
Intense, compact, star-forming galaxies are rare in the local Universe but ubiquitous at high redshift. We interpret the 0.1-22 um spectral energy distributions (SED) of a sample o…
