Three Gravitationally Lensed Supernovae Behind CLASH Galaxy Clusters
Brandon Patel, Curtis McCully, Saurabh W. Jha +42
We report observations of three gravitationally lensed supernovae (SNe) in the Cluster Lensing And Supernova survey with Hubble (CLASH) Multi-Cycle Treasury program. These objects,…
Type-Ia Supernova Rates to Redshift 2.4 from CLASH: the Cluster Lensing And Supernova survey with Hubble
O. Graur, S. A. Rodney, D. Maoz +38
We present the supernova (SN) sample and Type-Ia SN (SN Ia) rates from the Cluster Lensing And Supernova survey with Hubble (CLASH). Using the Advanced Camera for Surveys and the W…
The Discovery of the Most Distant Known Type Ia Supernova at Redshift 1.914
David O. Jones, Steven A. Rodney, Adam G. Riess +22
We present the discovery of a Type Ia supernova (SN) at redshift from the CANDELS multi-cycle treasury program on the \textit{Hubble Space Telescope (HST)}. This SN was…
Spectroscopic Observations of SN 2012fr: A Luminous Normal Type Ia Supernova with Early High Velocity Features and Late Velocity Plateau
M. J. Childress, R. A. Scalzo, S. A. Sim +55
We present 65 optical spectra of the Type Ia supernova SN 2012fr, of which 33 were obtained before maximum light. At early times SN 2012fr shows clear evidence of a high-velocity f…
