Globules and pillars in Cygnus X IV. Velocity-resolved [OI] 63 mu map of a peculiar proplyd-like object
N. Schneider, S. Dannhauer, E. Keilmann +14
We investigated an isolated, globule-shaped object (0.37x0.11 pc), located near the centre of the Cygnus OB2 cluster and named proplyd #7 in optical observations. The source can be…
The Diamond Ring in Cygnus X: Advanced stage of an expanding bubble of ionised carbon
Simon M. Dannhauer, Sebastian Vider, Nicola Schneider +18
The "Diamond Ring" in Cygnus X, southwest of the DR21 ridge, is a nearly circular structure of 6 pc in diameter, prominent in FIR emission and enclosed by clumpy molecular cl…
Investigating the asymmetry of young stellar outflows: Combined MUSE-X-shooter study of the Th 28 jet
A. Murphy, E. T. Whelan, F. Bacciotti +7
Characterising stellar jet asymmetries is key to setting robust constraints on jet launching models and improving our understanding of the underlying mechanisms behind jet launchin…
Globules and Pillars in Cygnus X I. Herschel Far-infrared imaging of the Cyg OB2 environment
N. Schneider, S. Bontemps, F. Motte +21
The radiative feedback of massive stars on molecular clouds creates pillars, globules and other features at the interface between the HII region and molecular cloud. We present her…
