Octahedral norms and convex combination of slices in Banach spaces
Julio Becerra Guerrero, Ginés López-Pérez, Abraham Rueda Zoca
We study the relation between octahedral norms, Daugavet property and the size of convex combinations of slices in Banach spaces. We prove that the norm of an arbitrary Banach spac…
Weak-star point of continuity property and Schauder bases
Ginés López Pérez, José A. Soler Arias
We characterize the weak-star point of continuity property for subspaces of dual spaces with separable predual and we deduce that the weak-star point of continuity property is dete…
Extreme differences between weakly open subsets and convex combinations of slices in Banach spaces
Julio Becerra Guerrero, Ginés López-Pérez, Abraham Rueda Zoca
We show that every Banach space containing isomorphic copies of can be equivalently renormed so that every nonempty relatively weakly open subset of its unit ball has diamete…
Big slices versus big relatively weakly open subsets in Banach spaces
Julio Becerra Guerrero, Gines Lopez Perez, Abraham Rueda Zoido
We study the unknown differences between the size of slices and relatively weakly open subsets of the unit ball in Banach spaces. We show that every Banach space containing isomorp…
