The square function estimate for the cone in four dimensions
Faruk Temur
We obtain the reverse square function estimate for the light cone in four dimensions from the critical local-smoothing and round-cone propagation statements in the September…
Simultaneously small continued fraction entropy and base entropy
Faruk Temur
We construct a computable irrational number that simultaneously has small continued fraction entropy and base entropy for every integer base This addresses a questio…
A Counterexample to Horn's Coincidence Conjecture
Faruk Temur
Horn conjectured that whenever is a nonempty compact convex subset of a Banach space and are continuous commuting maps, there exists such that …
On The Existence of \(P\)-Contractions that are not Enriched Contractions
Faruk Temur
We construct two examples clarifying the position of enriched -contractions among related classes of mappings on normed spaces. Our first example is a -contraction operator o…
A Short Note on -Contractive and Picard Operators
Faruk Temur
Altun and Hancer \cite{AltunHancer2019} proved that every continuous \(P\)-contractive self-map of compact metric space is an almost Picard operator, and asked whether it must in f…
