Real-time control and data standardization on various telescopes and benches
Nour Skaf, Rebecca Jensen-Clem, Aaron Hunter +19
Real-time control (RTC) is pivotal for any Adaptive Optics (AO) system, including high-contrast imaging of exoplanets and circumstellar environments. It is the brain of the AO syst…
The MICADO first light imager for the ELT: off-axis performance of PSF reconstruction
Matteo Simioni, Daniel Jodlbauer, Carmelo Arcidiacono +14
The highest scientific return, for adaptive optics (AO) observations, is achieved with a reliable reconstruction of the PSF. This is especially true for MICADO@ELT. In this present…
Numerical simulations for the SAXO+ upgrade: Performance analysis of the adaptive optics system
Charles Goulas, Raphaël Galicher, Fabrice Vidal +16
SPHERE, operating at the VLT since 2014, is currently one of the high-contrast instruments with a higher performance. Its adaptive optics system, known as SAXO, will be upgraded to…
