Observation of Cen A by the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer
R. E. Rothschild, D. L. Band, P. R. Blanco +13
The Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer made a short (10 ks) observation of the radio galaxy Centaurus A on 14 August 1996. Analysis of the combined 2.5-240 keV spectrum has revealed a hea…
Discovery of a New 89 Second X-ray Pulsar XTE J1906+09
D. Marsden, D. E. Gruber, W. A. Heindl +2
We report on the discovery of a new pulsating X-ray source during Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer observations of a low galactic latitude field centered at RA (J2000) = 19 hr 05 m 43 s…
RXTE Absolute Timing Results for the Pulsars B1821-24 and B1509-58
A. H. Rots, K. Jahoda, D. J. Macomb +9
Observations with the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer and the Jodrell Bank, Parkes, and Green Bank telescopes have enabled us to determine the time delay between radio and X-ray pulses…
