Multi-Kernel Polar Codes: Proof of Polarization and Error Exponents
Meryem Benammar, Valerio Bioglio, Frederic Gabry +1
In this paper, we investigate a novel family of polar codes based on multi-kernel constructions, proving that this construction actually polarizes. To this end, we derive a new and…
Low-Complexity Puncturing and Shortening of Polar Codes
Valerio Bioglio, Frederic Gabry, Ingmar Land
In this work, we address the low-complexity construction of shortened and punctured polar codes from a unified view. While several independent puncturing and shortening designs wer…
Low-complexity Receiver for Multi-Level Polar Coded Modulation in Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access
Beatrice Tomasi, Frédéric Gabry, Valerio Bioglio +2
Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) schemes have been proved to increase the multiple-access achievable rate with respect to orthogonal multiple access (OMA). In this paper we pr…
Minimum-Distance Based Construction of Multi-Kernel Polar Codes
Valerio Bioglio, Frederic Gabry, Ingmar Land +1
In this paper, we propose a construction for multi-kernel polar codes based on the maximization of the minimum distance. Compared to the original construction based on density evol…
