Reverse Engineering the Raspberry Pi Camera V2: A study of Pixel Non-Uniformity using a Scanning Electron Microscope
Richard Matthews, Matthew Sorell, Nickolas Falkner
In this paper we reverse engineer the Sony IMX219PQ image sensor, otherwise known as the Raspberry Pi Camera v2.0. We provide a visual reference for pixel non-uniformity by analysi…
Determining Image Sensor Temperature Using Dark Current
Richard Matthews, Matthew Sorrel, Nickolas Falkner
The state of the art method for fingerprinting digital cameras focuses on the non-uniform output of an array of photodiodes due to the distinct construction of the PN junction when…
An Analysis of Optical Contributions to a Photo-Sensor's Ballistic Fingerprints
Richard Matthews, Matthew Sorell, Nickolas Falkner
Lens aberrations have previously been used to determine the provenance of an image. However, this is not necessarily unique to an image sensor, as lens systems are often interchang…
Rethinking Image Sensor Noise for Forensic Advantage
Richard Matthews, Matthew Sorell, Nickolas Falkner
Sensor pattern noise has been found to be a reliable tool for providing information relating to the provenance of an image. Conventionally sensor pattern noise is modelled as a mut…
