Shashlik calorimeters: novel compact prototypes for the ENUBET experiment
M. Pari, G. Ballerini, A. Berra +50
We summarize in this paper the detector R&D performed in the framework of the ERC ENUBET Project. We discuss in particular the latest results on longitudinally segmented shashlik c…
A narrow band neutrino beam with high precision flux measurements
A. Coffani, G. Ballerini, A. Berra +49
The ENUBET facility is a proposed narrow band neutrino beam where lepton production is monitored at single particle level in the instrumented decay tunnel. This facility addresses…
Strong reduction of the effective radiation length in an axially oriented scintillator crystal
L. Bandiera, V. V. Tikhomirov, M. Romagnoni +14
We measured a considerable increase of the emitted radiation by 120 GeV/c electrons in an axially oriented lead tungstate scintillator crystal, if compared to the case in which the…
Testbeam performance of a shashlik calorimeter with fine-grained longitudinal segmentation
G. Ballerini, A. Berra, R. Boanta +34
An iron- plastic-scintillator shashlik calorimeter with a 4.3 longitudinal segmentation was tested in November 2016 at the CERN East Area facility with charged particles up t…
