Euclid: A complete Einstein ring in NGC 6505
C. M. O'Riordan, L. J. Oldham, A. Nersesian +195
We report the discovery of a complete Einstein ring around the elliptical galaxy NGC 6505, at . This is the first strong gravitational lens discovered in Euclid and the fi…
Radio Galaxy Zoo: The Distortion of Radio Galaxies by Galaxy Clusters
Avery F. Garon, Lawrence Rudnick, O. Ivy Wong +9
We study the impact of cluster environment on the morphology of a sample of 4304 extended radio galaxies from Radio Galaxy Zoo. A total of 87% of the sample lies within a projected…
Radio Galaxy Zoo: discovery of a poor cluster through a giant wide-angle tail radio galaxy
J. K. Banfield, H. Andernach, A. D. Kapinska +15
We have discovered a previously unreported poor cluster of galaxies (RGZ-CL J0823.2+0333) through an unusual giant wide-angle tail radio galaxy found in the Radio Galaxy Zoo projec…
Radio Galaxy Zoo: host galaxies and radio morphologies derived from visual inspection
J. K. Banfield, O. I. Wong, K. W. Willett +33
We present results from the first twelve months of operation of Radio Galaxy Zoo, which upon completion will enable visual inspection of over 170,000 radio sources to determine the…
