Integrated mmWave Access and Backhaul in 5G: Bandwidth Partitioning and Downlink Analysis
Chiranjib Saha, Mehrnaz Afshang, Harpreet S. Dhillon
With the increasing network densification, it has become exceedingly difficult to provide traditional fiber backhaul access to each cell site, which is especially true for small ce…
Nearest-Neighbor and Contact Distance Distributions for Matern Cluster Process
Mehrnaz Afshang, Chiranjib Saha, Harpreet S. Dhillon
In this letter, we derive the cumulative density function (CDF) of the nearest neighbor and contact distance distributions of the Matern cluster process (MCP) in R2. These results…
3GPP-inspired HetNet Model using Poisson Cluster Process: Sum-product Functionals and Downlink Coverage
Chiranjib Saha, Mehrnaz Afshang, Harpreet S. Dhillon
The growing complexity of heterogeneous cellular networks (HetNets) has necessitated a variety of user and base station (BS) configurations to be considered for realistic performan…
Poisson Cluster Process: Bridging the Gap Between PPP and 3GPP HetNet Models
Chiranjib Saha, Mehrnaz Afshang, Harpreet S. Dhillon
The growing complexity of heterogeneous cellular networks (HetNets) has necessitated the need to consider variety of user and base station (BS) configurations for realistic perform…
