Performance Calibration of the Wavefront Sensor's EMCCD Detector for the Cool Planets Imaging Coronagraph Aboard CSST
Jiangpei Dou, Bingli Niu, Gang Zhao +5
The wavefront sensor (WFS), equipped with an electron-multiplying charge-coupled device (EMCCD) detector, is a critical component of the Cool Planets Imaging Coronagraph (CPI-C) on…
Portable Adaptive Optics for Exoplanet Imaging
Yongtian Zhu, Jiangpei Dou, Xi Zhang +3
The Portable Adaptive Optics (PAO) is a low-cost and compact system, designed for 4-meter class telescopes that have no Adaptive Optics (AO), because of the physical space limitati…
A High-contrast Imaging Algorithm: Optimized Image Rotation and Subtraction
Jiangpei Dou, Deqing Ren, Gang Zhao +3
Image Rotation and Subtraction (IRS) is a high-contrast imaging technique which can be used to suppress the speckles noise and facilitate the direct detection of exoplanets. IRS is…
A high-contrast coronagraph for earth-like exoplanet direct imaging: design and test
C. C. Liu, D. Q. Ren, J. P. Dou +5
The high-contrast coronagraph for direct imaging earth-like exoplanet at the visible needs a contrast of 10^(-10) at a small angular separation of 4 lambda/D or less. Here we repor…
