Matricial ranges, dilations, and unital contractive maps
Pankaj Dey, Atanu Dhang, Mithun Mukherjee
Let be the Jordan block of size with all eigen values zero. Arveson introduced the notion of the matricial range of an operator in his remarkable article called Subalgebr…
Higher Rank Numerical Ranges of Normal Operators and unitary dilations
Pankaj Dey, Mithun Mukherjee
We describe here the higher rank numerical range, as defined by Choi, Kribs and Zyczkowski, of a normal operator on an infinite dimensional Hilbert space in terms of its spectral m…
Two states
B. V. Rajarama Bhat, Mithun Mukherjee
D. Bures defined a metric on states of a -algebra and this concept has been generalized to unital completely positive maps , where $\mathcal…
On cluster systems of tensor product systems of Hilbert spaces
Mithun Mukherjee
It is known that the spatial product of two product systems is intrinsic. Here we extend this result by analyzing subsystems of the tensor product of product systems. A relation wi…
Additive units of product system
B. V. Rajarama Bhat, Martin Lindsay, Mithun Mukherjee
We introduce the notion of additive units and roots of a unit in a spatial product system. The set of all roots of any unit forms a Hilbert space and its dimension is the same as t…
