AGN and starburst radio activity in the A3558 cluster complex
S. Giacintucci, T. Venturi, S. Bardelli +2
In this paper we present Very Large Array (VLA) 1.4 GHz (21 cm) observations of the region between the centres of A3558 and A3562, in the majorcluster merger complex of the Shapley…
High Frequency Peakers: Baby Radio Sources?
S. Tinti, D. Dallacasa, G. De Zotti +2
We present the results of second epoch simultaneous multifrequency observations of 45 sources out of the 55 in the sample of High Frequency Peakers (HFP) by Dallacasa et al. (2000)…
High Frequency Peakers
Daniele Dallacasa
There is quite a clear anticorrelation between the intrinsic peak frequency and the overall radio source size in Compact Steep Spectrum (CSS) and GHz Peaked Spectrum (GPS) radio so…
Inverse Compton X-rays from the radio galaxy 3C 219
A. Comastri, G. Brunetti, D. Dallacasa +3
We report the results from a Chandra observation of the powerful nearby (z=0.1744) radio galaxy 3C 219. We find evidence for non-thermal X-ray emission from the radio lobes which f…
The radio halo in the merging cluster A3562
T. Venturi, S. Bardelli, D. Dallacasa +4
we present new VLA observations at 1.4 GHz confirming the presence of a radio halo at the centre of the cluster A3562, in the core of the Shapley Concentration. We also report a de…
