Spontaneous Emergence of Phase Coherence in a quasiparticle Bose-Einstein Condensate
Malte Koster, Matthias R. Schweizer, Timo Noack +6
Since their prediction by Einstein at the dawn of quantum mechanics, Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs), owing to their property to show quantum phenomena on macroscopic scales, are…
Low Spontaneous Brillouin Scattering in Anti-Resonant Hollow-Core Fibers in GHz Frequency Range
Ryan E. Dunagin, Robbie Mears, Dario Bueno-Baques +6
Brillouin light scattering (BLS) is a powerful experimental tool that can be used to get insights into the fundamental and applied properties of matter, like dispersions of quasipa…
Ultra-long-living magnons in the quantum limit
Rostyslav O. Serha, Kaitlin H. McAllister, Fabian Majcen +8
Solid-state platforms based on bosonic quasiparticles offer a compelling route toward on-chip quantum information technologies scalable to nanometer dimensions. Coherence time, a k…
Wave dynamics in a macroscopic square artificial spin ice
L. Scafuri, D. A. Bozhko, E. Iacocca
A macroscopic square artificial spin ice, or macro-ASI, is a collection of bar magnets placed in a square lattice arrangement. Each magnet is supported by hinges that allow their m…
