The JCMT Gould Belt Survey: A First Look at Southern Orion A with SCUBA-2
Steve Mairs, D. Johnstone, H. Kirk +52
We present the JCMT Gould Belt Survey's first look results of the southern extent of the Orion A Molecular Cloud (). Employing a two-step struct…
The JCMT Gould Belt Survey: Evidence for Dust Grain Evolution in Perseus Star-forming Clumps
Michael Chun-Yuan Chen, J. Di Francesco, D. Johnstone +56
The dust emissivity spectral index, , is a critical parameter for deriving the mass and temperature of star-forming structures, and consequently their gravitational stability. T…
The JCMT Gould Belt Survey: Evidence for radiative heating and contamination in the W40 complex
D. Rumble, J. Hatchell, K. Pattle +55
We present SCUBA-2 450μm and 850μm observations of the W40 complex in the Serpens-Aquila region as part of the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT) Gould Belt Survey (GBS) of nearb…
The JCMT Gould Belt Survey: the effect of molecular contamination in SCUBA-2 observations of Orion A
S. Coudé, P. Bastien, H. Kirk +7
Thermal emission from cold dust grains in giant molecular clouds can be used to probe the physical properties, such as density, temperature and emissivity in star-forming regions.…
