Performance of Al-Mn Transition-Edge Sensor Bolometers in SPT-3G
A. J. Anderson, P. A. R. Ade, Z. Ahmed +86
SPT-3G is a polarization-sensitive receiver, installed on the South Pole Telescope, that measures the anisotropy of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) from degree to arcminute s…
On-sky performance of the SPT-3G frequency-domain multiplexed readout
A. N. Bender, A. J. Anderson, J. S. Avva +86
Frequency-domain multiplexing (fMux) is an established technique for the readout of large arrays of transition edge sensor (TES) bolometers. Each TES in a multiplexing module has a…
Year two instrument status of the SPT-3G cosmic microwave background receiver
A. N. Bender, P. A. R. Ade, Z. Ahmed +86
The South Pole Telescope (SPT) is a millimeter-wavelength telescope designed for high-precision measurements of the cosmic microwave background (CMB). The SPT measures both the tem…
Characterization and performance of the second-year SPT-3G focal plane
D. Dutcher, P. A. R. Ade, Z. Ahmed +68
The third-generation instrument for the 10-meter South Pole Telescope, SPT-3G, was first installed in January 2017. In addition to completely new cryostats, secondary telescope opt…
