Boundary Causality Violating Metrics in Holography
Sergio Hernández-Cuenca, Gary T. Horowitz, Gabriel Treviño +1
Even for holographic theories that obey boundary causality, the full bulk Lorentzian path integral includes metrics that violate this condition. This leads to the following puzzle:…
Exploring strong-field deviations from general relativity via gravitational waves
Steven B. Giddings, Seth Koren, Gabriel Treviño
Two new observational windows have been opened to strong gravitational physics: gravitational waves, and very long baseline interferometry. This suggests observational searches for…
Reconstruction of an AdS Radiation/Boson Star Bulk Geometry Using Light-cone Cuts
Gabriel Trevino
Light-cone cuts have recently been proposed as a method to reconstruct the conformal metric of a holographic spacetime. We explore how additional information about the bulk geometr…
PSR J1930-1852: a pulsar in the widest known orbit around another neutron star
J. K. Swiggum, R. Rosen, M. A. McLaughlin +33
In the summer of 2012, during a Pulsar Search Collaboratory workshop, two high-school students discovered J19301852, a pulsar in a double neutron star (DNS) system. Most DNS sys…
