X-ray properties of RR Lyrae and Cepheid variables from eROSITA
Krystian Ilkiewicz, Henryka Netzel
We present a search for X-ray counterparts to RR Lyrae and Cepheid variables using data from the first eROSITA all-sky survey. We identify seven RR Lyrae and eight Cepheid variable…
Exploring Low-Amplitude Variability in First Overtone Cepheids with TESS
E. Plachy, H. Netzel, A. Bódi
Classical Cepheid stars that pulsate in the first overtone radial mode often exhibit additional periodicities at the millimagnitude level. Extensive studies of the OGLE data of the…
The changing transit shape of TOI-3884 b
Hritam Chakraborty, Jose M. Almenara, Monika Lendl +9
TOI-3884 b is a sub-Saturn transiting a fully convective M-dwarf. Observations indicate that the transit shape is chromatic and asymmetric as a result of persistent starspot crossi…
The VELOCE modulation zoo III. Detecting additional pulsation modes in optical spectra of classical Cepheids using semi-partial distance correlation periodograms
Kent Barbey, Richard Irving Anderson, Giordano Viviani +5
Known for their large amplitude radial pulsations, classical Cepheids are critical standard candles in astrophysics. However, they also exhibit various pulsational irregularities a…
