Cohomology of truncated polynomial lambda-rings
Donald Yau
The lambda-ring cohomology in dimensions 0 and 1 of certain truncated polynomial filtered lambda-rings are computed. The dimension 1 case is related to deformations of lambda-rings…
On lambda-rings and topological realization
Donald Yau
It is shown that most possibly truncated power series rings admit uncountably many filtered lambda-ring structures. The question of how many of these filtered lambda-ring structure…
Deformation theory of modules
Donald Yau
Algebraic deformations of modules over a ring are considered. The resulting theory closely resembles Gerstenhaber's deformation theory of associative algebras.
Loop structures on the homotopy type of S^3 revisited
Donald Yau
We observe that the Rector invariants classifying the genus of BS^3 show up in (orthogonal and unitary) K-theory. We then use this knowledge to show purely algebraically how the K-…
Cohomology of lambda-rings
Donald Yau
A cohomology theory for lambda-rings is developed. This is then applied to study deformations of lambda-rings.
Deformation of algebras over the Landweber-Novikov algebra
Donald Yau
An algebraic deformation theory of algebras over the Landweber-Novikov algebra is obtained.
