Improve the Evaluation of Fluency Using Entropy for Machine Translation Evaluation Metrics
Hui Yu, Xiaofeng Wu, Wenbin Jiang +2
The widely-used automatic evaluation metrics cannot adequately reflect the fluency of the translations. The n-gram-based metrics, like BLEU, limit the maximum length of matched fra…
An Automatic Machine Translation Evaluation Metric Based on Dependency Parsing Model
Hui Yu, Xiaofeng Wu, Wenbin Jiang +2
Most of the syntax-based metrics obtain the similarity by comparing the sub-structures extracted from the trees of hypothesis and reference. These sub-structures are defined by hum…
CNN: A Convolutional Architecture for Word Sequence Prediction
Mingxuan Wang, Zhengdong Lu, Hang Li +2
We propose a novel convolutional architecture, named CNN, for word sequence prediction. Different from previous work on neural network-based language modeling and generation (…
Encoding Source Language with Convolutional Neural Network for Machine Translation
Fandong Meng, Zhengdong Lu, Mingxuan Wang +3
The recently proposed neural network joint model (NNJM) (Devlin et al., 2014) augments the n-gram target language model with a heuristically chosen source context window, achieving…
