Application of a magnetic-field-induced transition in Fe X to solar and stellar coronal magnetic field measurements
Yajie Chen, Wenxian Li, Hui Tian +3
Magnetic fields play a key role in driving a broad range of dynamic phenomena in the atmospheres of the Sun and other stars. Routine and accurate measurements of the magnetic field…
Hinode/EIS coronal magnetic field measurements at the onset of a C2 flare
Enrico Landi, Wenxian Li, Tomas Brage +1
In the present work we study Hinode/EIS observations of an active region taken before, during and after a small C2.0 flare in order to monitor the evolution of the magnetic field e…
Hinode/EIS measurements of active region magnetic fields
E. Landi, R. Hutton, T. Brage +1
The present work illustrates the potential of a new diagnostic technique that allows the measurement of the coronal magnetic field strength in solar active regions utilizing a hand…
On the Fine Structure Splitting of the 3p43d 4D5/2 and 3p43d 4D7/2 Levels of Fe X
Philip Judge, Roger Hutton, Wenxian Li +1
We study UV spectra obtained with the SO82-B slit spectrograph on board SKYLAB to estimate the fine structure splitting of the Cl-like 3p4 3d 4D J=5/2 and 3p4 3d 4D J=7/2 levels of…
