Multi-height Identification of Sausage and Fluting Eigenmodes in a Solar Pore
Shahin Jafarzadeh, David B. Jess, Marco Stangalini +34
Magnetic pores are compact, strongly magnetised waveguides in the lower solar atmosphere and therefore provide favourable conditions for identifying magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) wave…
Collective Vortex Dynamics: From Isolated Vortices to their Communities
Lauren McClure, Suzana Silva, Gary Verth +2
Small-scale vortical motions in the upper solar atmosphere are abundant and occupy about 2.8% of the photosphere at any given time. Although considerable work has focused on the de…
Observing solar vortices with existing and future instrumentation. Solar Physics International Network for Swirls (SPINS) white paper (Helio)
Suzana S. A. Silva, Viktor Fedun, Gary Verth +13
Solar vortices are fundamental components of solar atmospheric dynamics, serving as natural laboratories for magnetic field twisting, energy concentration and transport, wave guida…
Can instrumental effects obscure the true photospheric wave spectrum?
M. Berretti, M. Stangalini, D. B. Jess +6
Optical aberrations and instrument resolution can affect the observed morphological properties of features in the solar atmosphere. However, little work has been done to study the…
