The impact of Solar wind variability on pulsar timing
C. Tiburzi, G. M. Shaifullah, C. G. Bassa +22
High-precision pulsar timing requires accurate corrections for dispersive delays of radio waves, parametrized by the dispersion measure (DM), particularly if these delays are varia…
First detection of frequency-dependent, time-variable dispersion measures
J. Y. Donner, J. P. W. Verbiest, C. Tiburzi +11
Context. High-precision pulsar-timing experiments are affected by temporal variations of the Dispersion Measure (DM), which are related to spatial variations in the interstellar el…
Testing the accuracy of the ionospheric Faraday rotation corrections through LOFAR observations of bright northern pulsars
N. K. Porayko, A. Noutsos, C. Tiburzi +13
Faraday rotation of polarized emission from pulsars measured at radio frequencies provides a powerful tool to investigate the interstellar and interplanetary magnetic fields. Howev…
LOFAR discovery of a quiet emission mode in PSR B0823+26
C. Sobey, N. J. Young, J. W. T. Hessels +91
PSR B0823+26, a 0.53-s radio pulsar, displays a host of emission phenomena over timescales of seconds to (at least) hours, including nulling, subpulse drifting, and mode-changing.…
