Experimental demonstration of continuous quantum error correction
William P. Livingston, Machiel S. Blok, Emmanuel Flurin +3
The storage and processing of quantum information are susceptible to external noise, resulting in computational errors that are inherently continuous A powerful method to suppress…
Twenty-three millisecond electron spin coherence of erbium ions in a natural-abundance crystal
Marianne Le Dantec, Miloš Rančić, Sen Lin +12
Erbium ions doped into crystals have unique properties for quantum information processing, because of their optical transition at 1.5 m and of the large magnetic moment of their…
Detecting spins with a microwave photon counter
Emanuele Albertinale, Léo Balembois, Eric Billaud +7
Quantum emitters respond to resonant illumination by radiating electromagnetic fields. A component of these fields is phase-coherent with the driving tone, while another one is inc…
Spatially-resolved decoherence of donor spins in silicon strained by a metallic electrode
V. Ranjan, B. Albanese, E. Albertinale +10
Electron spins are amongst the most coherent solid-state systems known, however, to be used in devices for quantum sensing and information processing applications, they must be typ…
