First measurement of the low-energy direct capture in 20Ne(p, γ)21Na and improved energy and strength of the Ecm = 368 keV resonance
E. Masha, L. Barbieri, J. Skowronski +48
The reaction is the slowest in the NeNa cycle and directly affects the abundances of the Ne and Na isotopes in a variety of astrophysical sites. Her…
Pushing the high count rate limits of scintillation detectors for challenging neutron-capture experiments
J. Balibrea Correa, J. Lerendegui-Marco, V. Babiano-Suarez +131
One of the critical aspects for the accurate determination of neutron capture cross sections when combining time-of-flight and total energy detector techniques is the characterizat…
New proton-capture rates on carbon isotopes and their impact on the astrophysical ratio
J. Skowronski, A. Boeltzig, G. F. Ciani +43
The ratio is a significant indicator of nucleosynthesis and mixing processes during hydrogen burning in stars. Its value mainly depends on the…
First measurement of the Nb(,) cross section at the CERN n\_TOF facility
J. Balibrea-Correa, V. Babiano-Suarez, J. Lerendegui-Marco +134
One of the crucial ingredients for the improvement of stellar models is the accurate knowledge of neutron capture cross-sections for the different isotopes involved in the -,…
