L^p boundedness of the Hilbert transform
Kunal N. Chaudhury
The Hilbert transform is essentially the \textit{only} singular operator in one dimension. This undoubtedly makes it one of the the most important linear operators in harmonic anal…
Fast adaptive elliptical filtering using box splines
Kunal Narayan Chaudhury, Arrate Munoz Barrutia, Michael Unser
We demonstrate that it is possible to filter an image with an elliptic window of varying size, elongation and orientation with a fixed computational cost per pixel. Our method invo…
Gabor wavelet analysis and the fractional Hilbert transform
Kunal Narayan Chaudhury, Michael Unser
We propose an amplitude-phase representation of the dual-tree complex wavelet transform (DT-CWT) which provides an intuitive interpretation of the associated complex wavelet coeffi…
On the Shiftability of Dual-Tree Complex Wavelet Transforms
Kunal Narayan Chaudhury, Michael Unser
The dual-tree complex wavelet transform (DT-CWT) is known to exhibit better shift-invariance than the conventional discrete wavelet transform. We propose an amplitude-phase represe…
Construction of Hilbert Transform Pairs of Wavelet Bases and Gabor-like Transforms
Kunal Narayan Chaudhury, Michael Unser
We propose a novel method for constructing Hilbert transform (HT) pairs of wavelet bases based on a fundamental approximation-theoretic characterization of scaling functions--the B…
