The starburst galaxy NGC 253 revisited by H.E.S.S. and Fermi-LAT
H. E. S. S. Collaboration, H. Abdalla, F. Aharonian +231
(Abridged) Context. NGC 253 is one of only two starburst galaxies found to emit -rays from hundreds of MeV to multi-TeV energies. Accurate measurements of the very-high-energy (…
Dense molecular gas at 12 mm towards Galactic TeV gamma-ray sources
P. de Wilt, G. Rowell, A. J. Walsh +5
The High Energy Stereoscopic System (H.E.S.S.) has revealed many TeV (10 12 eV) gamma-ray sources along the Galactic Plane and around 30 percent of these sources remain unidentifie…
A polarized fast radio burst at low Galactic latitude
E. Petroff, S. Burke-Spolaor, E. F. Keane +35
We report on the discovery of a new fast radio burst, FRB 150215, with the Parkes radio telescope on 2015 February 15. The burst was detected in real time with a dispersion measure…
A dense gas survey of the gamma-ray sources HESS J1731-347 and HESS J1729-345
Nigel Maxted, Gavin Rowell, Phoebe de Wilt +8
The results of Mopra molecular spectral line observations towards the supernova remnant HESSJ1731-347 (G353.6-0.7) and the unidentified gamma-ray source HESSJ1729-345 are presented…
