Building highly conditional quasi-greedy bases in classical Banach spaces
Fernando Albiac, José L. Ansorena
It is known that for a conditional quasi-greedy basis in a Banach space , the associated sequence of its conditional…
Optimality of the rearrangement inequality with applications to Lorentz-type sequence spaces
Fernando Albiac, Jose L. Ansorena, Denny Leung +1
We characterize the sequences of non-negative numbers for which \[ \sum_{i=1}^\infty a_i w_i \quad \text{ is of the same order as } \quad \sup_n \sum_{i=1}^n a…
1-Greedy renormings of Garling sequence spaces
Fernado Albiac, José L. Ansorena, Ben Wallis
Garling sequence spaces admit a renorming with respect to which their standard unit vector basis is 1-greedy. We also discuss some additional properties of these Banach spaces rela…
On Garling sequence spaces
Fernando Albiac, José L. Ansorena, Ben Wallis
The aim of this paper is to introduce and investigate a new class of separable Banach spaces modeled after an example of Garling from 1968. For each and each…
Conditional quasi-greedy bases in non-superreflexive Banach spaces
Fernando Albiac, José L. Ansorena, Przemysław Wojtaszczyk
For a conditional quasi-greedy basis in a Banach space the associated conditionality constants verify the estimate $k_{m}[\mathcal{B}]=\mathcal{O…
