Neutrino Imaging of the Galactic Centre and Millisecond Pulsar Population
Paul C. W. Lai, Matteo Agostini, Foteini Oikonomou +3
In this work, we consider the possible presence of a large population of millisecond pulsars in the Galactic Centre. Their direct detection would be challenging due to severe pulse…
Cosmic ray calorimetry in star-forming galaxy populations and implications for their contribution to the extra-galactic -ray background
Ellis R. Owen, Albert K. H. Kong, Kuo-Chuan Pan
Star-forming galaxies (SFGs) have been established as an important source population in the extra-galactic -ray background (EGB). Their intensive star-formation creates an abund…
Effects of large-scale magnetic fields on the observed composition of ultra high-energy cosmic rays
Ellis R. Owen, Qin Han, Kinwah Wu
Ultra high-energy (UHE) cosmic rays (CRs) from distant sources interact with intergalactic radiation fields, leading to their spallation and attenuation. They are also deflected in…
Evolution and feedback of AGN Jets of different Cosmic-ray Composition
Yen-Hsing Lin, H. -Y. Karen Yang, Ellis R. Owen
Jet feedback from active galactic nuclei (AGN) is one of the most promising mechanisms for suppressing cooling flows in cool-core clusters. However, the composition of AGN jets and…
